Newsletter - December 1987

Hello Everyone! Today is Tuesday and the time is 11pm. I have just received word that the next appreciation society issue is nearing completion and all that is needed is for me to get this letter finished and your package will be on it's way. So, here I am pen in hand working hard for the cause. (what a mouthful that was!!)

The first thing on the agenda is the new single which is entitled "KISS LIKE JUDAS" and is presently scheduled for release at the beginning of February. It will be available on 7" and 12" and on CD. The B Side "STARING AT THE WHITEWASH" has a very interesting storyline, which I am not going to give away. I'll let you listen to it first and then you can decide what you think it is about and we'll see who gets it right!!!!!!!! Talking about getting things right.....we have devised a brain taxing task for you! may I present the first IT BITES APPRECIATION SOCIETY COMPETITION! all you have to do is make as many words as you can with 4 or more letters, from our album title "THE BIG LAD IN THE WINDMILL". The winner will be sent a collection of original "fly posters" autographed by the band (possibly with a few other goodies thrown in) If there is a tie, then the first one of the two out of the bag will be the winner so don't blame me if you find 4000 words and still don't win! also while we're on the subject of writing down words, I would like to inform you that you can contact pen pals via the society anyone wishing to be included in this, should contact Maggie for details.

If there are any of you keen to swap things such as singles videos, CD's etc then send maggie a list of the items and hopefully she will be able to help you to get what you are after. (who knows that 7" version of "ALL IN RED" that so many of you don't seem to be able to get hold of, may be yours, via a swap!).

And last but by no means first! Maggie let us know that she has had several people write to her saying that they would like to see reviews of both past and future gigs in future issues. So, if you get the urge.... why not put pen to paper and tell us your views on our gigs? Send your reviews to our dear friend Maggie and maybe you will be reading your review in a future issue.

At present, we are in the process of designing the cover for the new album and single sleeve (which involves us having lots of photographs taken in various locations!) and we should be getting to work on our plans for the new video "KISS LIKE JUDAS" which looks like its going to be very interesting and good fun to do!(I'll say no more on that note!)

1987 has been a very productive year for us and very tiring So, like everyone else, we are looking forward to Christmas to put our feet up for a few days and prepare ourselves for a very busy and successful 1988.

I would like to thank everyone for all the Birthday cards you sent me and we all send our thanks for the countless Christmas cards that you sent in. also thank you for your support and cooperation throughout the year, which we feel is invaluable.

We are looking forward to touring and hopefully we will find you all in good spirits after the festive season. So I will leave you on that festive note and all that remains is for you all to have a very "HAPPY CHRISTMAS" and a "HAPPY NEW YEAR".See you in 1988!

Love

Francis Dunnery
