Newsletter - December 1990
Hello All!
Many, many thanks for all the letters we recieved in response to our last newsletter. (Maggie sent copies to us). It was very encouraging to know you are all still there, right behind us, and your welcome for Lee in to the Band was much appreciated.
At the moment we are in London writing continuously, and plan to carry on doing so for another couple of months. We are really pleased with the way the songs are sounding, and we are all looking forward to the ooportunity to play them live. As for the live album, we are still listening to the tapes, but the writing for the new album is taking up all of our time at the moment, so there is still no news of a release date yet.
We had a big change this month in that we are no longer with Virgin Records. It was a decision that had advantages for both sides. It means a completely new launch for us, and they are free of a band that they were never sure what to do with. Therefore we will shortly be in the process of sorting out a new record deal. However, this means that it will be at least six months before we will be releasing any new material or touring. Becuase of this we feel it would be cheating you to take any subscriptions during the time when there will be very little news to send you. We are therefore placing the apprecitation society on hold for the time being (although the PO box will remain open), and as soon as we are in a newsworthy position again you will be the first to know. You will all be kept on a mailing list and will be notified of any developments.
