He recieved the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship from the legendry producer George Martin whilst studing for a degree in popular music at Salford College.

All he's ever wanted to do was to be in a band but none of his friends were into music, so he placed 'musicians wanted' ads in the local music shop window, which is how he met Brett.

His list of favourite bands include the likes of Prince, The Beatles, Frank Zappa, Ray Charles, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan.
